Cowichan Golf and Country Club
Cowichan Golf and Country Club is one of those golf courses that golfers always dream about discovering when they go away on a golf trip. It has all the right ingredients for a terrific day of golf and beautiful scenery, challenging holes, excellent service, and a great club-house.
Located outside of Duncan, half way between Victoria and Nanaimo, the course looks out to the mountains and the waters of Cowichan Bay. Established at its present location in 1947, when legendary architect A.V. Macan designed one of the Island’s finest nine-hole courses, Cowichan expanded to eighteen holes in 1985.
The site of a number of top national and provincial championships, the course now meanders through the valley, a picturesque mix of meadow and tree-lined holes. At 6,189 yards, Cowichan isn’t particularly long from the tips, but don’t let that fool you into a sense of complacency as the tight fairways and fast, undulating greens will come to haunt you.
