    Why is this offered?

The purpose of the Vancouver Island Golf Alliance is to promote Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands as a golf vacation destination through cooperative marketing initiatives and to track golf tourism information for the benefit of its Members.

Long-time marketing director Trisha Larsen was a tireless advocate for the Vancouver Island Golf Trail, its members, and the golf sector throughout British Columbia. She also advocated constant growth and learning. When Trisha passed unexpectedly in 2022, the board of directors wanted to acknowledge her contributions to the growth of golf tourism and help others develop their skills to keep golf tourism on Vancouver Island on the rip-curl edge, a term Trisha often used in her desire to drive innovation.

    About Trisha Larsen

Trisha started her golf tourism marketing career working in Kelowna at the Harvest Golf Club, then on to lead the sales & marketing at Predator Ridge Golf Resort in its early days. A move to Vancouver Island in 2004 connected her as a marketing consultant with a fledgling golf tourism marketing organization called Golf Vancouver Island.

From those early beginnings, Trisha led the Vancouver Island Golf Alliance into a golf tourism marketing powerhouse that continues to generate benefits for its partners in tourism on Vancouver Island to this day.

Trisha was a tourism marketing leader in British Columbia, and her impact on golf and destination marketing has been instrumental in the growth of many organizations around the province.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

This (Bear Mountain Resort – Mountain Course, on the Vancouver Island Golf Trail) is my new favourite golf course – I just love the layout. It’s really one of the prettiest golf courses I’ve played in my life, I’ll come back here on vacation, it’s that good.

    Scott McCarron, PGA TOUR Champion

I always treat golf courses as how many poor holes there are. This (Bear Mountain Resort – Mountain Course, on the Vancouver Island Golf Trail) is a very good one. There’s not one poor hole on this golf course.

    Colin Montgomerie, PGA TOUR Champion

Great job on the initial booking and subsequent changes requested. Easy check-in at the golf courses and the hotel made the trip hassle-free. Nice touch with the driving directions and discounts at recommended food and beverage establishments. Will definitely recommend your service to friends and business associates.
