    Ferry Service

    BC Ferries; known for safety, spectacular scenery and proud maritime history, provides more than 30 crossings per day between Vancouver Island and mainland B.C.

    Black Ball Ferry Line; Named after the magnificent silver salmon found in the British Columbia and Washington State waters, the M.V. Coho is a vehicle and passenger ferry crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Victoria British Columbia’s Inner Harbour and the city of Port Angeles in Washington State.

    Clipper Vacations; is well known as your travel experts for the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Since 1986 with direct fast ferry service between Seattle WA and Victoria BC. The Victoria Clipper operates year-round service, round trip 1 time per day, with the exception of trips in mid-May through mid-September when 2 daily roundtrip services are available.

     

     

     

     

    Air Service

    If you think the views from the sea are amazing, try flying into Vancouver Island. The region is easy to reach by air and has several airports, including Victoria International Airport (YYJ), Nanaimo Airport (YCD), Comox Valley (YQQ) and Campbell River (YBL).

    WestJet Airlines provides year-round daily non-stop service to Vancouver Island from Edmonton, Calgary, and Kelowna and weekly non-stop service from Toronto.  Air Canada, Pacific Coastal and Harbour Air provide multiple flights from Vancouver daily.  Alaska/Horizon offers daily non-stop service from Seattle.

    Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) offers daily non-stop domestic and international flights through major hubs of Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Airline flights include Air Canada, Pacific Coastal Airlines and WestJet.

    If helicopters are more your thing, Helijet offers scheduled flights to Victoria and Nanaimo and the ability to charter direct to courses in many instances.

    This (Bear Mountain Resort – Mountain Course, on the Vancouver Island Golf Trail) is my new favourite golf course – I just love the layout. It’s really one of the prettiest golf courses I’ve played in my life, I’ll come back here on vacation, it’s that good.
